Sydney Lewis went above and beyond to make sure my fiancé and I got the home that we loved. From making sure our loan got approved to making sure our homes lien was removed in a timely fashion, we could ALWAYS count on him. He was always there to educate us on all facets on home buying/ home ownership and pushed us to make smart decisions on our future investment. The company he is associated with (Contour Mortgage) also has all their documents in order for a speedy closing process. When we sat down to sign all the documents, there were no delays due to missing documents or wired funds. Thanks to him, this experience was as smooth as it could possibly. We had some challenges (and in these unsettling times, who has not experienced challenges?) and were under the impression that our dreams of homeownership would never become a reality!!!

Nevertheless, we approached Sydney, presented our situation to him, he actively listened, asked us for certain financial (and other pertinent) documents, which we gave him.

He asked us to give him some time to complete a comprehensive review of our situation; shortly thereafter, Sydney came back to us and told us that if we approach the journey to homeownership as a team, our goal can be manifested. Today, we are delighted to share our story with you that our dream of becoming first time homeowners has become a reality (we closed on our home on June 14, 2021 and we are now and forever bestowing upon you (Sydney) the title of “Mortgage Angel.” With this title, we are confident that you will put many other people in their homes, because you are an unselfish person who puts your clients’ wellbeing and interests above everything else!!! Your reputation, which was high when we came to you, remains intact with us and has since elevated even higher!!!

Given our story above, we harbor no doubt in our minds that anyone who reviews our testimony and is moved to the point of using the services of Sydney (THE MORTGAGE ANGEL), as a loan originator, will come away with positive and memorable experiences, just like we have.

After shopping for a while with other Loan Originators, we had come to the conclusion that owning a beyond our reach. However, a good friend of ours introduced us to Sydney and we are the recipient of wonderful memories and proud homeowners. Below is our story:

(1) Sydney reviewed our financial documents, student loan histories, and credit reports, and then explained that it will require us working together as a cohesive team, in order to accomplish our primary goal of home ownership.

Our Home buying journey was like driving through a terrain with some hills and many valleys. After contacting some bigger banks and being denied of even a pre-approval because of our student loans (who doesn’t have those right?) our realtor introduced us to Sydney and assured us that he was really good and he really was he was a God-send and helped get us into our 1st home.

A little back story – My wife and I began our home buying process the right way, we cleaned up our credit, paid down high credit card balances and started vigorously saving. When we were ready, we approached some of the bigger banks because of their reputation and were disappointed when they “walked away” because of how they calculated our student loans.

That’s when our realtor advised us to speak to Sydney and after speaking with him, we agreed to move forward with him as our Loan Originator and my oh my thanks to Sydney and his savviness in navigating the Mortgage process helped us to us to realize our dream of home ownership!

After reviewing our financials, student loan histories, and credit reports, we worked together as a cohesive unit, to achieve our dream of Home ownership.

We would admit, Sydney’s detailed method, constant request for documents, and flurry of questions, at times, appeared annoying and unnecessary. However, in hindsight, now we realize that he was taking great care in getting us to the finish line. We closed on our Home on April 6, 2021 and we have nothing but gratitude for Sydney.

Sydney was/is reliable, dependable, and presented us with an outstanding navigation of the mortgage process, which was instrumental in our achieving our dream of becoming a first-time homeowner.

I had the opportunity to work with two other Loan Originators other than Sydney Lewis, which put me in an ideal position to provide an honest and complete analytical comparison of Sydney Lewis VS. other Loan Originators. Below is my assessment:

(1) I started my home purchasing journey with a major, commercial lender, who struggled and could not fully comprehend how to structure my financial situation so that I could get qualified for a mortgage—a very good friend of mine then referred me to Sydney Lewis.

(2) I began working with Sydney Lewis and was qualified for a mortgage, received my commitment subject for an appraisal; however, the appraiser missed a bedroom in the property that I was purchasing and as a result the appraised value of the property was undervalued and the appraiser, in an attempt to protect his reputation, refused to correct his report. Given the prevailing situation, I met with my family and we decided to move on to another lender.

(3) When I notified Sydney Lewis of the decision to move on to another lender, to my surprise, Sydney Lewis fully cooperated and turned over my completed file to the new lender.

(4) The new lender, just like the first lender, was having problems structuring my loan, so I reached out to Sydney Lewis for assistance, and again to my surprise, without hesitation Sydney Lewis provided me with insights, which I took to the new lender who appeared confused, but eventually applied the information, and I was able to close.

(5) Sydney Lewis structured my file and I was able to receive a Commitment within two weeks with the only condition of “subject to property appraisal for purchasing price.” The first Loan Originator could not properly structure my file, the other Loan Originator took three months to get me to the closing table, despite being with proper information I obtained from Sydney Lewis that he was either finding too complex to comprehend or he was being stubborn—when he came around and implementing what was given to him by me, I obtained my commitment and the file closed.

As you can see from my previous analysis, it is clear that Sydney Lewis possesses a wealth of knowledge, provides timely and prudent information to his clients for decision making, but more importantly, he is an extremely ethical person.

For the above reasons, I will not hesitate to recommend Sydney Lewis to you, my friends and family, as well as my professional peers.

Approximately three years ago, I started my journey to become a first-time homeowner. Once I aligned myself with Sydney (to be my Loan Originator), he immediately alerted me that the process would be time consuming, complex, and at times, seemingly repetitive.

Upon initiating and finalizing the process, I came away with the following experiences:

Our road to home ownership initially started with a large, residential lender head-quartered in California; this relationship quickly dissolved, as the lender did not fully grasp how to properly apply the mathematics relative to student loans.

Nonetheless, we continued on our journey; especially, with our recent addition to our family - our son.
